How to make Piyush(saffron flavoured buttermilk)

  

Piyush is a traditional Indian drink made from buttermilk, and various spices. Here is a recipe for Piyush:

Ingredients:

Half litre buttermilk

2-3 tbsp powdered sugar

1/2 tsp of salt

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

1/4 tsp nutmeg powder

A few strands of saffron

Ice cubes

Instructions:

In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk powdered sugar and salt until well combined.

Add the cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, saffron strands. Mix well.

Add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend again until the ice is crushed, and the mixture is frothy.

Pour the piyush into glasses and serve chilled.
