Dry Gavar sabzi, also known as cluster beans curry, is a
delicious Indian dish that can be easily made at home. Here's a simple recipe
to help you make Dry Gavar sabzi:
Ingredients:
500g cluster beans (gavar)
1 onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions:
Wash and trim the head and the tail part of the cluster beans.
Break them into small pieces with hand and keep aside.
Steam the cluster beans in a steamer for 10 minutes until
beans are soft and tender.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they start to
splutter, add chopped onion and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add minced garlic and chopped green chillies and sauté for a
minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and sauté until they become soft and
mushy.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder.. Mix well and sauté
for 2 minutes.
Add the steamed cluster beans, salt to taste, and a cup of
water. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid. Let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with
rice or roti.
